Tripp Montalbo, CEO
Tripp Montalbo, CEO, joined HCA’s Mainland Medical Center as its Chief Executive Officer on May 16, 2016. Tripp has over 16 years of healthcare experience and most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of HCA affiliated Conroe Regional Medical Center. While serving Conroe Regional Medical Center, Montalbo’s leadership and commitment facilitated the pursuit and development of the first level II trauma program in Montgomery County. Prior to joining Conroe Regional Medical Center, Tripp served as St. Joseph Medical Center’s Chief Operating Officer and oversaw the operations of St. Joseph Medical Center’s downtown Houston and Heights hospital locations. Tripp also held senior management positions at Huntsville Memorial Hospital and HCA affiliated Bayshore Medical Center.
Tripp’s community involvement includes his participation in the National and Southeast Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives; participation in the Texas Hospital Association where he functioned as a member of the Leadership Development Council; and volunteers as a board member for the Texas City-LaMarque Chamber of Commerce and the Galveston County Health District: United Board of Health.
Tripp earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. He was inducted into the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society for academic excellence in Healthcare Management and Policy. Tripp and his wife, Gretchen, are the proud parents of two children, Martie and Jackson.
John O. Armour, CFO
As a twenty-two year veteran of HCA, John currently serves as CFO of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. John has held senior leadership positions for an excess of eighteen years, all in the Gulf Coast Division. John has fifteen years of CFO experience and was formerly CEO of Parallon Business Solutions Supply Chain Services/Gulf Coast Division.
John is an active member of the Houston Golf Association since 2008 and has been a member of the Board of Directors for the past five years. A former Chair of the Audit Committee and Board Treasurer, he currently serves as Vice-Chairman.
In his spare time, John enjoys spending time and traveling with family and friends, running, and playing golf. John and his wife of twenty-six years, Kelli Nations, and their sixteen-year old daughter, Abigail, live in The Woodlands and are active members of The Ridge Community Church.
Gina Garrison, ACFO
Gina Garrison, CPA, Assistant Chief Financial Officer, joined Mainland Medical Center effective September 2016. Gina has in excess of 22 years of healthcare finance experience and most recently served as the Controller at Kingwood Medical Center. While at Kingwood, Gina has filled in as Interim CFO for a period of time during transition of CFOs and assumed numerous roles including the Chief Staffing Officer and Interim Ethics and Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Kingwood, Gina served as a Controller at the Tenet Healthcare’s Twelve Oaks Medical Center in Houston.
Gina attended St. Paul University Manila where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a major in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics and a minor in English. Gina received her Certified Public Accountant Certification in 1987. Gina is an active member of Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Gina and her husband Gregg enjoy attending the Houston Symphony and Broadway shows, traveling and playing golf with their granddaughter.
Nathan Irwin, AA
Nathan Irwin joined Mainland Medical Center as the Assistant Administrator in April 2017. Earning a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Nathan began his career with HCA as a Management Engineer where he implemented labor management technologies and best practices in new acquisition facilities.
Nathan and his wife Ashley moved to Houston in the fall of 2015 where he worked as part of the Gulf Coast Division’s Performance Improvement team as a Labor Specialist. There, Nathan supported 10 Houston-area and 3 South Texas facilities in various capacities such as staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and budgeting.
Nathan is an active member in the Southeast Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is also currently pursuing his Master’s in Healthcare Administration at the University of Houston – Clear Lake.
