Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Questionnaire
The rehabilitation professionals at Mainland Medical Center can assist you in returning to maximum function and independence following surgery, injury or illness. Each patient is evaluated and an individualized treatment program is designed to meet the needs of the patient with services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Our Outpatient team works closely with our inpatient team to ensure a high continuity of care.
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy is a type of treatment you need when health issues or injuries make it difficult for you to move and perform everyday tasks. Our licensed and experienced Physical Therapy Team uses an individual’s history and physical exam to determine the Physical Therapy diagnosis and establish functional goals and treatment plan. Physical Therapy treatment usually involves elements of education, exercise and pain management. We have staff who have master certification in manual therapy which is effective in treating musculoskeletal dysfunction.
Occupational Therapy
Our licensed and experienced Occupational Therapy staff uses specialized techniques to treat patients with neurological and orthopedic problems. We have Occupational Therapy staff who specialize in the treatment of hand problems. Our clinic also has the Saebo Arm Training Program which specifically addresses neurological impairments of the upper extremity. We are the only facility in the county that has this specialized program.
Speech Therapy
Our licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist provides a wide range of services to individuals with cognitive, communication and swallowing deficits as a result of neurological disease, injury or congenital impairment. Evaluations, diagnosis and treatment plans are individually designed to assist patients reach their optimum functional level.
