The Breast Care Center at Mainland Medical Center is a comprehensive, state-of-the art screening and diagnostic facility. Whether you come for a routine breast screening or further testing, The Breast Care Center features high quality imaging services and dedicated staff. The state-of-the-art facility offers a beautiful, soothing spa-like environment for patients.
We offer leading edge-technology, including:
- Digital Mammography
- Integrated Computer Assisted Diagnosis (CAD)
- Breast Ultrasound
- Breast MRI
Other diagnostic procedures performed by The Breast Care Center include:
- Bone-density testing to evaluate for osteoporosis
- Breast cancer risk assessment questionnaire
The digital technology allows the radiologist to manipulate each image, making it larger or smaller, or lighter or darker, to see and diagnose questionable areas. Because comfort of the patient is our primary concern, we use the soft-touch mammo pad to alleviate discomfort for patients. All screening exams are performed by trained mammography specialists who care about helping you and your physician get the most accurate outcome.
Because early detection of breast disease offers the best opportunity for treatment, the American College of Radiology recommends that women undergo a baseline mammogram between age 35-40 and annually starting at age 40.
