Micheal Ehrat Joins Mainland Medical Center As Chief Executive Officer
Texas City, TX, July 30, 2012— HCA Gulf Coast Division President, Maura Walsh, announced that Michael Ehrat has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HCA affiliated Mainland Medical Center (MMC), a campus of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center (CLRMC). Ehrat comes to MMC from HCA affiliated Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee where he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the past five years. Ehrat has held various healthcare leadership roles for 20 years, 15 of which were with HCA.
“I am looking forward to joining the talented leadership team, physicians, employees and volunteers at Mainland Medical Center,” Ehrat said. “Healthcare is evolving every day and there is a lot of challenging work ahead. It will be an honor to work with and become a part of the community we serve and ensure MMC’s commitment to continued quality care.”

Ehrat earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Illinois, Carbondale, Illinois. He received a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis, Indianapolis, Indiana; and earned both a Master of Health Services Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Francis, Joilet, Illinois.
Ehrat is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He served as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Judith C. Crosby Neuroscience Foundation in Nashville, Tennessee and served as the School Board Chairman of Our Savior Lutheran Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
